The loss of the Air and Sea show

Thursday, June 5th, 2008 | By James Cox | Tourism News with No Comments »

While the loss of the Air and Sea show may not have a huge impact on the overall numbers of the Florida economy, it does hurt, especially the local businesses that were impacted greatly from it. Vendors, hotels, stores, restaurants, all will lose business with the loss of the Air and Sea show. The loss of the Air and Sea show also could have an affect on the overall tourism industry in Florida as it was a major attraction in the state.

The local economy will take a hit from the loss of the Air and Sea show. However with tourism in Florida still going strong, the loss of the Air and Sea show has not delivered a knock out blow. The local economy thrives year round based on attractions such as the beach, the atmosphere, nightlife, and culture. Restaurants, clubs, theme parks, and many other businesses get so much of their business for a constant stream of tourism that will probably not be affected by the loss of the Air and Sea show. However it is sad to say we won’t have the jets flying over us every year.
